We all carry our own unique forms of brokenness, moments that have left us with cracks and scars. But rather than shying away from these imperfections, we should embrace them. Like stained glass windows, it's through these very cracks that light enters and transforms us into something beautiful and unique. Our broken pieces don't diminish our worth - they enhance it, allowing our inner light to shine even brighter. Let's honor our brokenness, for it is through these fractures that we find strength, beauty, and grace.
I find writing poetry deeply inspiring - it’s where words become a canvas for the soul. Here's a poem on the topic that I thought I would share.
Stained Glass Souls (by Andy Cyprianos)
In broken shards, we often lie,
Our edges sharp, beneath the sky,
Yet in the cracks, the light does play,
A dance of hope at break of day.
We're stained glass souls, so full of hues,
With each fracture, a different view,
Though shattered, still we rise and stand,
A masterpiece in God's own hand.
For every break, a story told,
Of courage, loss, and hearts grown bold,
The light pours through, where we're unsealed,
In brokenness, our truth revealed.
So let the world see what you are,
A work of art, though scarred, by far,
For in the broken, light finds grace,
And through the cracks, it finds its place.
Be proud of every shattered piece,
For through the pain, you find release,
And in the light, your soul's set free,
A stained glass window, beautifully.
May this remind you, dear and true,
That even broken, light shines through,
And in your fractures, there's delight,
For you, like glass, reflect the light.
